Pickled

I was very excited about International Pickle Day…

Apparently I wasn’t alone.

There were about a zillion people crowding around the booths for free samples of wacky pickled veggies. So…good for LES business development. Bad for people who don’t like crowds.

I tried a pickled beet…but gave up at the booth with ginger (?) and onions. Too many jerks trying to shove in front of you.

I did, however, find a book that I think will be perfect for my dad’s birthday. It’s a little late! But better late than never!

I realized tonight, however, that I totally missed Apple Picking at Lefferts today.
